Terms of use
Last updated July 24, 2026
These terms cover Play2048Base — the site, the browser game, the guide pages, and related materials. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, close the tab.
What this site is
Play2048Base offers a free sliding-tile puzzle in the browser, plus how-to and practice pages that keep a live board nearby. Merges follow classic rules. Scores and Best are local to your browser unless you somehow copy them elsewhere yourself. Hints suggest a direction with a short reason; they are coaching aids, not a proof of an optimal line.
Using the site does not create a professional, advisory, fiduciary, tutoring, or employment relationship. This is a puzzle — not financial advice, not medical advice, not a school-filter workaround, and not an accredited course.
As-is availability
The site is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind — including accuracy of hints, completeness of guides, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted uptime. We may change controls, rename pages, pause features, or take the site offline.
Local storage can be cleared by you, by browser settings, or by extensions. We are not responsible for a Best score that disappears after a data wipe, a profile switch, or a device change.
Your play, your breaks
You decide how long to play. Take breaks. Do not treat a daily challenge or a high tile as something you owe anyone. If a Hint or demo conflicts with how you want to play, ignore it — the board still accepts your swipes.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Play2048Base and its operators are not liable for loss or damage arising from use of or reliance on the site, including but not limited to:
- Lost local scores, history, or daily markers
- Time spent following a Hint that was not optimal
- Device performance, battery use, or browser crashes
- Downtime, broken links, or third-party analytics/ad behavior if those are enabled later
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
If something is wrong, tell us via contact. Fixing a bug when we can does not mean we underwrite your high score or accept liability for decisions you already made.
Where liability cannot be fully excluded, our total liability for claims relating to the site is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us specifically to use Play2048Base in the twelve months before the claim (currently $0 for free use) or (b) USD $50, to the extent such a limit is enforceable.
Acceptable use
- Play and practice for personal use
- Do not use the site to distribute malware, phishing, or cheat injectors
- Do not scrape or republish substantial site content as your own commercial product without permission
- Do not overload or automate the site in a way that harms availability
- Do not misrepresent Play2048Base as an app store, multiplayer service, or multi-game portal
- Do not use the site to harass, spam, or break applicable law
Intellectual property
Site chrome, copy, and our specific combination of Hint-with-reason, demo, daily, and undo tooling are part of Play2048Base. The classic merge puzzle concept is widely known; we do not claim to own the idea of combining equal tiles. Do not copy our pages wholesale or frame them inside another commercial shell.
Privacy
How local storage, analytics, ads, and email work is described in privacy. That policy sits alongside these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top changes when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. If you disagree, stop using the site.
